“As an Artist I seek to create an emotional response to a two dimensional image. My work is representational and therefore the choice of subject is always a key consideration. However, in order to make the subject “speak” to the viewer, there is much more involved.

The artistic challenge for me is in combining form, colour, composition and subject in a way that makes it all work seamlessly and without apparent effort. This is where an artist’s talent lies - in their ability to blend a number of elusive elements in just the right proportions and combine these to create the magic of art.

I use my technical skill as a tool to serve my artistic vision. My chosen medium is acrylic paint on canvas and my message reflects positive aspects of the human condition. I paint joyful work that is meant to uplift the soul and foster hope, love and peace. I want this to be my contribution and my legacy.”
