Self-taught, Josée Lord has been painting since a very young age. A black contour line, drawn with pastel or acrylic, surrounds the forms. This line is drawn freely with the artist’s fingers. Lord explains that she needs a direct contact with materials, that she needs to touch in order that the painting may live in all its sensuality.
