LUCIANA ALVAREZ
Luciana Alvarez has had no lack of passion for beauty and art in her life.Born and raised Chile and Spain, she was exposed to a life enriched with art, history and cosmopolitan modernism. This awoke in her very early on, the desire to embark on an inspired path of visual creation.
In 1992 Luciana began her studies of Fine Arts at the world renowned Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver, BC, where she resides. It is here in which her eclectic expression of many different techniques including impressionism, surrealism, and contemporary art developed into her signature style, resulting in a flowing and balanced vision.
Throughout her extensive career of professionalpainting, starting in 1990, she has shown her works in a long list of galleries, restaurants, city promotional banners, juried show, festivals, art camps, magazine features, boutiques and donations to charitable fund raisers.
A world traveller, Luciana considers each canvas a page of her journal, visually documenting her unique perspective of cities and the hub within, from all around the globe.Bursting in vibrant color, whimsical movement, warm textures, layers of history and the observations of energy, her depiction of the concrete jungles and urban streets capture the essence of the human spirit.
