Paula Caissy

Paula Caissy was born and raised in the Gaspé region of Quebec.

Caissy has long been interested in fine art, surrounding herself with artists, eagerly seeking art books and publications, frequenting galleries and taking art courses.

Paula was at first fascinated by portraiture and ceramics. She is now passionate about painting with oils.

She transmits to viewers her deep attachment for the treasures of our ancestors. Her oils on board are gently finished with a chiffon cloth to achieve an atmosphere of antiquity.

Primarily self-taught, Caissy produces a limited number of original works each year, which she says "all find a happy home".
